Hello there, Excuse me if this has been discussed before but I could not find information regarding this issue. I want to use a figure for my thesis from Ansys Fluent Theory Guide Release 2021 R2 - © ANSYS, Inc. and was wondering if it is possible to get permission, if so how can I do this?Â
Thank you very much for your reply,

Hi if you are using the research version of the software, permissions to publish is given as per the terms and conditions here:
https://www.ansys.com/en-in/academic/terms-and-conditions
Please note that students are not allowed to publish using the student version of the software, it should only be used for personal education, learning, mini projects, or homework only.

I could not see anything related to using a figure from the technical report in the terms and conditions you posted. To clarify, I am not talking about using results from the software. What I am trying to ask is I want to use the figure from the manual published by Ansys.

It is understood from your original question that you want to use an image from the Fluent Help manual.
If you are using an academic license (and not a free student license), and using it for only academic purposes, (and not for any commercial purpose) you can use the image from it if you are citing it using the format mentioned in the link I shared earlier:
General documentation citation: Ansys® [product name], release number, help system, [book and chapter reference name/numbers], ANSYS, Inc.
