SubscriberDear folks
I want to model a bolted connection. There is a clearance between the hole of upper jointed part and the bolt. Hence, the bolt is expected to carry axial load (tension/compression).
The Ansys Beam connection is supposed to model bolts, but unfortunately, such beam connection carries shear and torsion in addition to the axial load.

You will get tabular data on the forces going through the joint and a vector of the total force in the graphics window.nViewing 1 reply thread- The topic ‘How to display the loads carried by a Body-Body joint?’ is closed to new replies.
