Hi all,
For a project I received a geometry from someone to make adjustments of my own to do a scenario analysis. However, when I open the file the edges are a lot ruffer than how they are supposed to be. This occurs both when I open the file in spaceclaim and discovery. I tried several different ways to resolve the problem, such as using both the student version and a licensed version, trying different versions of ansys, installing and reinstalling, changing settings etc.Â
To be more specific, the ansys version the other person uses is 2023 R1. I'm using an academic license, the other person has the same licesense or at least similar. I provided a picture of one of the edges which is off. The higlighted face should have a nice circular edge on the inside, while this is not the case here. One thing that comes to mind is when I receive the geometry it is a .scdoc file, while when I want to save my version I can't save it as a .scdoc file but as a .scdocx file.Â

Hi Rhandy,
Can you please try changing the rendering settings? Use higher value of rendering and recalculate rendering.Â
Check if there are geometry error from the Measure Tab > Check Geometry. You can use tools from repair tab to fix the issues in the geometry.Â
Try importing a step/iges files and check the behavior.Â
Thanks and Regards
