I've gone through the whole forum trying to figure out this error message, and, unfortunately, cannot.

I'm getting the following error message when trying to start ansysedt.

Failover feature 'ANSYS electronics_desktop' is not available.

Request name electronics_desktop does not exist in the licensing pool.

No such feature exists.

What is the full content of your license file. It could be that you have the new PPE Licenses.
You can add the following switch to the command line to start using the PPE licenses:
-UseElectronicsPPE

Should I copy/paste my ansyslmd.lic file here? Sorry, just want to make sure it's secure.
Also, license manager is up and running:
Licensing Interconnect: running
Licensing Interconnect Monitor: running
FLexNet Licensing: running
Both license server and clients are running on Linux.

Also, -UseElectronicsPPE option didn't make a difference. Sorry I forgot to include that information.

You can post just the increment names.
What is returned when you run:
AnsysEM21.1/Linux64/mechanical/shared_files/licensing/linux64/lmutil lmstat -a -c 1055@licenceserver.edu
Also, any errors in the license.log on the license server?
Default path would be: /ansys_inc/shared_files/licensing/license.log
Just an FYI:
VENDOR ansyslmd 1056 should be VENDOR ansyslmd PORT=1056 if you want to use static port 1056.

lmutil result is also attached as pdf. Sorry, I kept getting an error message that my response had too many characters. If PDF is not good, please let me know.
In license.log I am seeing bunch of "No such feature exists" error messages:

We are not permitted to open any files.
Look at the top of your license file. There will be a list of products.
can you paste that list here. by the log errors, It does not seem that you have any Electronic Suite licenses
