SubscriberThe Discovery Ultimate package contains 3 products:
- Discovery SpaceClaim
- Discovery Live
- Discovery AIM
But since many standard R19 packages already contains ANSYS SpaceClaim and ANSYS AIM, we’d like to understand if there are any significant differences between these versions? The Discovery Ultimate installer doesn’t appear to offer any control over which products are installed, so in that case shall we uninstall ANSYS SpaceClaim and ANSYS AIM, or do we still need them?

I believe the versions of AIM are the same, although the licensing for Discovery products is all subscription based, so that is one key difference.
For SpaceClaim, there are some differences between the variants (ANSYS SpaceClaim, SCDM, and Discovery SpaceClaim). The principal difference is the licensing, as I mentioned above.
The other difference is that Discovery SpaceClaim includes quite a few translators that are optional add-ons to ANSYS SpaceClaim (the classic stand alone version, not SCDM).

Ansys EmployeeUsers must install the Discovery Ultimate Package to run Discovery AIM or Discovery SpaceClaim using subscription licensing. (You do not need to install AIM and SpaceClaim from any other installation packages)
