Contact not working in Ls-Dyna and Ls-Dyna ACT (WB)

      Hi all.

I have the same error in Ls-Dyna and Ls-Dyna ACT (WB).

      1. In LS-Dyne, I use a TIED_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE contact for bits on the drill, the drill rotates, but the bit is in place, it is not attached to the drill:

      Why?

      2. Bonded contacts are not supported in LS-Dyna ACT, I used a classic contact for nozzles on the drill, the drill rotates, but the nozzle stands still, it is not attached to the drill:

How to set a pinning contact in Ls-Dyna ACT (WB)? I would like to insert a map snippet CONTACT_TIED_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE, but it doesn't work, out of range error/

Are bits & drill in your model all deformable bodies? Or one of them is a rigid body?

Bonded contacts work in LS-DYNA system in Workbench.

Can you load your model (K file) into LS-PrePost and then click on Keyword Manager -> Model Check -> Contact Check -> Tied to check the tied status between the bits & drill? You can find the total number of nodes being tied from the check. Is this number reasonable?

If you find the number is less than you expect, you need to adjust the contact settings to tie more nodes in their bonded contacts.

To bond deformable and rigid bodies, you need to use Nodal Rigid Bodies. This can be done in WB LS-DYNA system by using Rigid Body Tools -> Rigid Body Additional Nodes.

        Drill body rigid body.

        Nozzles are deformable.

        >>This can be done in WB LS-DYNA system by using Rigid Body Tools -> Rigid Body Additional Nodes.

there is no such function in WB:

Yes, I checked there, everything was fine. I added a few more faces to contacts and they started working.

Now I have another problem. Why does the tension between the nozzles and the case increase? Even when the body rotates through the air?

Contact does not work in LS-PRPEPOST. The nozzles stay in place and the body rotates:
