      Hi,

When using *CESE solver and *CHEMISTRY files together which turbulence model is used? I dont find any information on user manual/research papers about equations used and turbulence models considered.

RANS and LES model are available in ICFD solver but I did not find any information about CESE solver.

      Regards,

      Atish

      Hello Atish,

      Let me ask the developer.

      Hello Atish,

There is no explicit turbulence models in the *CESE and *DUALCESE solvers. This is why you didn't find any information on it.

      Hello Atish,

      The developer added the following:

"Via the flux limiter, there is a build-in type of turbulence modeling called MILES (monotonically-integrated large eddy simulation)."

      Reno.

Thanks Reno. This is very useful information.

Is there any reference paper available mentioning MILES model used in CESE? May be any LS Dyna Conference paper/article available? This will be useful for my academic writing.

      Regards,
      Atish

      Hello Atish,

Have you tried a Google scholar search?

      Hi Reno,

Is it possible to implement turbulence model in CESE solver. May be by including some equation in .k files?

      Regards,
      Atish

      Hello Atish,

This is not possible and there is no plan to add this feature in the near future.

      Reno.
