Hi. I was wondering if it is possible to convert the jet of a shaped charge from the eulerian to the lagrangian reference frame after it has formed. Essentially the formation of the jet can only be simulated using the eulerian refernce frame due to high deformation, but reading a few different papers on shaped charge simulation i can see that accurate penetration results require both the target and jet to be lagrangian. Ive read that this can be done in autodyn using "part fill" (see page 106 "ANALYSIS OF PENETRATION" in link below) but is this possible using the ansys mechanical interface? If not would it maybe be possible to assign a velocity gradient to a lagrangian body instead?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! -
