I´m wondering if you were able to overcome this problem. I´m facing with a similar problem: I have a midsurface plate with a solid fastener, and ANSYS is not detecting the contact with the hole. I´ve tried edge-to-face and edge-to-edge (imprinting the hole in the fasteners face) scoping, with and without thickness effect, but in the modal analysis it shows that they are not connected.
