Hello,

In Ansys Composite PrepPost (ACP), you can change the fabrics' ply angle to introduce a pitch angle while stacking up the plies. The process involves defining the fiber direction and the ply angle, which determines the orientation of the fibers with respect to a reference direction.

To manage the fiber direction and introduce different ply angles, you can utilize the Fabric Fiber Angle property. This property allows you to specify the orientation of the fibers. When the Fabric Fiber Angle property is active and nonzero, you need to specify the material properties with respect to the material directions rather than the fiber directions. This means that you can adjust the ply angle to change the orientation of the fibers in your composite analysis.

Additionally, ACP provides a draping simulation tool that can be used to evaluate the effects of ply draping on doubly curved surfaces, which might change the theoretical fiber orientations. This tool allows you to visualize the draped fiber directions and consider them in your analyses, which could help in ensuring the continuity of the fiber direction across the composite structure.
