It is possible then that you do not have properly connected regions. Are you using DesignModeler or Spaceclaim for the geometry? Please refer to the training materials and tutorials for those products. In DesignModeler you can use the Boolean tool to subtract one solid from another. In Spaceclaim you can use the combine/cut tool. You must create a geometry that is composed of tessellating solids with no overlaps or unconnected faces. You know you have done this successfully if Ansys meshing reports that there are no connections.
