Hi 
It could be a version issue. There might be a chance that Some improvements have been made in the mesh section which is why you are encountering this issue. 
Are you able to generate the mesh successfully?
you can right-click on the error message and check the offending object or problematic geometry in the model. you can apply the local control mesh there to remove the defeature part in the mesh. 

There are any small surfaces that may have been defeatured during meshing, there may not be any nodes attached to it which can prompt this error.
