1. Try to reset/delete the 'FDTD Solutions.ini' file from your user's folder before running with the 2024 R2 release.

2. Should the issue persists, please assist us with the following:
   • Which operating system and version are you running? 
   • Please send a screenshot of the Optics Launcher > Licenses configuration utility. 
     >>Lumerical license configuration with the Ansys Optics Launcher – Ansys Optics 
   • Also a screenshot of the Lumerical CAD > Resources configuration.
     >>Resource configuration elements and controls – Ansys Optics 
   • Are you runnning FDTD on GPU?
   • Check if the license manager (LM) status and availability from your local computer.
     >>How to check license status and availability – Ansys Optics
     Check/verify that the LM is up and running and have the licenses required to run your simulation with GPU.
     (40 SMs, requires 3x FDTD solve licenses)
