We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

Hello Chan,

To have an FSI interaction between the ICFD fluid and the structure, you need the following keywords:

*ICFD_CONTROL_FSI

*ICFD_BOUNDARY_FSI

If you don't include the above keywords  in your model, the baffle structure should not interact and influence the ICFD fluid.

You will find video tutorials on ICFD FSI here:

https://www.dynaexamples.com/icfd/intermediate-examples/Intermediate_fsi_flap

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLI4p5Ifcds

And on DEM coupled with ICFD:

To couple the DEM particles to the ICFD fluid, you need to following keyword:

*ICFD_CONTROL_DEM_COUPLING

Let me know how it goes.

Reno.
