Dave, take a look at the log file to see where it hangs: %ProgramFiles%\ANSYS Inc\install.log or %ProgramFiles%\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student\install.log
If it stops at an "Extraction:" step, I would strongly suspect a similar problem with a similar solution: Replace the 7zip.exe and 7zip.dll with the original Pavlov's ones.
If this alone does not help, then recompress the affected WINX64.7z files with a lower compression level.
