SubscriberHello,
I am solving a very simple edge crack problem, where I have defined a pre-meshed crack and am trying to find the SIF:Â
I use a sphere of influence to refine the mesh at the crack front, but when I refine the mesh at the crack tip past a certain point and try to solve, an "unexpected error" occurs and I get the following message:
"The crack tip Local Coordinate Systems are not consistent along the   Â
 crack front set 1."Â
Additionally, I also see the following warning in the solver output, which is very strange seeing as I only have one material defined for the whole body:
"Material number 2 (used by element 46395) should normally have at least
one MP or one TB type command associated with it. Output of energy byÂ
 material may not be available."
Overall, I'm very confused as to why this is happening. Just a week ago, I was running this same simulation okay, but after updating to R3, I'm encountering this problem. I would appreciate any help, and thanks in advance for your time!Â
