About this webinar

• This webinar will introduce the fundamentals of modeling explosives and their effects in ANSYS Explicit Dynamics and the underlying AUTODYN solver.
• Participants will be shown basic chemical, thermodynamic, and physical modeling concepts that are necessary in simulating explosive materials and their effects. We’ll review approaches to modeling the expansion of explosive product gasses with the Jones Wilkins Lee (JWL) Equation of State. We will also cover simulating the basic experiment used to parametrize the JWL Equation of State, the Cylinder Expansion (CYLEX) test.
