Results Validation in Ansys Mechanical Software — Lesson 4

This video follows previous steps where the optimized geometry was created in Ansys Discovery™ 3D product simulation software and meshed using Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element software. It demonstrates how to apply loads and boundary conditions to both the optimized and baseline quadcopter leg geometries. The goal is to perform a one-to-one comparison of stress and mass reduction. The results show a 33% reduction in mass, nearly 50% lower peak von-Mises stress, and an 80% decrease in total deformation.

 

The video then walks through the setup process in Ansys Mechanical Software, including meshing and applying boundary conditions.
