Geometry Preparation using Ansys Discovery Software — Lesson 1

This lesson focuses on preparing the quadcopter landing gear geometry for topology optimization. It compares the original quadcopter leg geometry with the modified version to be used in the optimization solver. The updated design retains key structural features, such as the skid footprint and body attachment points, while ensuring battery clearance. The process involves modifying and simplifying the geometry to define areas where material can and cannot be removed. The video then demonstrates how to transition from the original to the optimized geometry before running the topology simulation.
