CAD Conversion in Ansys Discovery Software — Lesson 3

This video follows up on the topology optimization completed using Ansys Discovery™ 3D product simulation software, where a faceted geometry was generated. It demonstrates how to convert this faceted geometry into a smooth, solid geometry suitable for further analysis using Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element analysis software. Various facet options in Ansys Discovery tool, including shrink wrap, smooth, and reduce, are used to refine the geometry. The smooth solid geometry is then transferred to Ansys Mechanical software and converted into a solid tetrahedral mesh.

The video also reviews different topology-optimized configurations and transitions back into the modeling tab for further refinement.
