Accessing Midnodes Data with *VGET Command — Lesson 8

If I *VGET stress values in APDL, the results at midside nodes are zero; however, if I export stress values in Mechanical software, the results at the midside nodes are nonzero. Why?

Ansys does not store results for midside nodes on the RST file; these values are calculated on the fly as the average of the corner nodes. The difference in this case is that APDL *VGET returns the result from the RST, whereas WB returns the averaged value.
