What is the time step and the total analysis time of the acoustic analysis?

To get the analysis frequency range by applying the time step and the total analysis time, you need to change the settings. Access the time step by using the maximum frequency, and change the total analysis time by using the minimum frequency:
Time step = Δt <1 / (15 x Fmax), Fmax = analysis maximum frequency
total analysis time = 1 / Fmin, Fmin = analysis minimum frequency (pitch)

Setting an example:

  • If you want to achieve the maximum frequency, you want to get 1000Hz, the time step of Δt = 1 / (15 x 1000 ) = 6.67e-5 seconds (on the setting specifies the 6e-5 seconds) is necessary
  • If the minimum frequency you want to get is of 5Hz (5Hz pitch) requires analysis of 1 / 5Hz = 0.2 seconds.
