Combining Flipbook and Keyframe Animations

There are two important kinds of animations in Ansys EnSight™ simulation data visualization software – Flipbook and Keyframe. How does one combine and create an animation which uses both Flipbook and Keyframe?

The attached video illustrates the process involved with creating an animation using both Flipbook and Keyframe.

This video is based on an existing example dataset – Ahmed Body in Ansys EnSight software. The dataset is loaded, and a clip plane is created. Streamlines are created on this plane. Keyframe animation is used to rotate and adjust the body, while Flipbook animation is used to animate the movement of the clip plane from one end of the domain to another. It is important to ensure that both Flipbook and Keyframe use the same number of ‘frames’ (20 in this video).
