This course covers the practical application of thermodynamics principles in real-world scenarios. It focuses on the operation of diffusers, compressors, and nozzles, explaining how to calculate the ratio of exit flow area to the inlet flow area, the exit velocity, and the rate of entropy generation. The course also delves into the principles of steam turbines and air compressors, discussing their operation, properties, and the relationship between them. Furthermore, it provides a comprehensive guide on solving complex thermodynamics problems, such as calculating the electrical energy supplied during a process and the total entropy change in an insulated rigid tank containing air.
