Materials is a field that is ever evolving. We still use materials we used in the Stone and Bronze Ages and yet new materials are designed every day for different uses.
One way to logically break down this large field is through material families.
By learning what criteria we use to assign materials to these different families, we can start to think more critically about materials as a field.
This lesson contains an overview of material families, followed by short topic videos to cover specifics.
