Conservation of Momentum Equations — Lesson 3

Have you ever wanted to fly? Well, now you have a fun way to do it! Flyboards use water to propel people into the air. The powerful jets push the board and keep it flying, as long as you know how to do it! (Don't forget the protections!)

The concept behind this is simple: The momentum of the water is used to push the person and the board in the desired direction. We can analyze this using the conservation of momentum equation. Let's take a look at it.
