Standalone Single-Port Antenna Cases — Lesson 2

In this lesson, we will do a walkthrough for simulating a standalone single-port antenna in different cases in Ansys HFSS software. We start with case 1, the most basic case: a stand-alone single-port antenna, which is what most users base their expectations on. A rectangular inset-fed patch antenna from the Ansys HFSS software's antenna toolkit is used to show the idea. The idea is then developed through five progressive cases. We start by changing some simulation settings and discussing how they affect the results. In each case, the simulated settings and the results of antenna parameters are shown and analyzed.
