Brightness Enhancement Film (BEF) is a key component in backlight modules, frequently employed in liquid crystal panels. Its primary function is to deflect light rays, converging the originally divergent rays towards the front, while also capturing and utilizing light from outside the viewing angle. This not only reduces light loss but also achieves a concentrated brightening effect.
The prism angle on BEF directly affects the light concentration effect. In this course, we will use Ansys Speos for simulations to study the impact of prism angles on light concentration and divergence, analyzing factors such as light path and intensity.
This course is developed by RayTeng Creative in partnership with Ansys.
