Preparing CAD for CFD Simulation in Ansys Discovery - Lesson 5

Ansys Discovery features the first simulation-driven design tool using which users can create and modify geometry using direct modeling technology, define simulations and interact with results in real-time. To successfully prepare the geometry for performing CFD analysis, it is very important to understand the use and functionality of various geometry design and modification options in Ansys Discovery. Geometry processing includes steps like cleaning-up and creating an error free geometry, unnecessary geometrical feature removal, creation of enclosure/domain, fluid region extraction, creation of labels/named selections, among other operations.

In this 3-part lesson, using the example of an automotive air-intake, we will learn how to use Ansys Discovery to prepare a geometry for a fluids simulation.
